Reflecting on a Transformative Year: Embracing Change, Growth, and New Beginnings

As I reflect on the past year, one word keeps coming to mind: transformative. It’s been a year defined by major shifts, both personally and professionally, that have reshaped my life and the way I approach just about everything. This past year has been filled with unforgettable experiences, challenges, and growth — all of which have only been possible thanks to the incredible people around me, from my family to my team at Strategico Consultants.
A New Chapter in Life
As we step into the new year, I’m thrilled to share some exciting personal news: I’m now a married man!
Much of 2024 was dedicated to planning the wedding of our dreams — a process that brought its fair share of joy, surprises, and, of course, a few spirited debates. My husband, ever the TikTok and Instagram enthusiast, kept finding new trends to incorporate at the last minute, which led to some lively discussions. But those moments only made the journey all the more memorable.
On October 5th, everything came together perfectly. Our wedding day was a vibrant celebration of love, community, and individuality. The theme, fittingly titled "Try to Upstage the Grooms," set the tone for a night filled with bold and dazzling outfits — velvet, sequins, and every color of the rainbow were on full display.

It was everything we dreamed of and more — the perfect way to close out 2024 and step into the new year with love, laughter, and excitement for what’s ahead.
To everyone who celebrated with us, whether in person or in spirit: thank you. Your presence, support, and joy made our day truly extraordinary.

From Doing the Work to Building the Team
At Strategico, I’ve worn many hats over the years, from product developer to service provider. But this year, I made a conscious decision to shift from being the person in the weeds who does the work to the one who builds the team. This was a massive leap, one that involved stepping back from the daily tasks I once handled personally. Instead, I focused on bringing in talented professionals who share Strategico’s mission and values — people I can trust to deliver the high level of service our clients expect.
Through this transition, I’ve learned that building a strong team is not about finding people who can merely “do the job.” It’s about surrounding myself with individuals who bring their unique strengths and insights to the table. With the right team in place, I can now dedicate myself to the big-picture work that drives our business – and that of our clients - forward.
Working ON the Business, Not IN It
During the early years, I was deeply involved in the day-to-day work at Strategico. I loved connecting with clients, tackling challenges, and seeing our solutions in action. But as we grew, I realized that my role needed to evolve and that it was time for me to step back from the operational aspects and focus on steering the vision of Strategico.
Moving from the “doing” to the “directing” has allowed me to prioritize strategy, business development, and the innovation needed to elevate our services.
This shift was challenging and a bit scary, and also incredibly rewarding and very much needed. I learned how to empower my team to make decisions independently, trust their expertise, and foster an environment where each person feels confident and valued. Focusing on growth strategies allows me to ensure that Strategico remains adaptable, continually improving our offerings to stay ahead of the evolving needs of our clients.
Looking Ahead
With these changes firmly in place, I’m excited about what the future holds. Strategico is better positioned than ever to serve our clients’ needs, and I’m thrilled to focus on creating strategies that not only respond to today’s challenges but anticipate tomorrow’s opportunities. There is so much more to come, and I feel incredibly grateful to have a team — and a personal support network — that allows me to pursue this vision.

- A photo booth where guests captured memories with playful props and endless smiles.
